What an incredible experience to worship along with my brothers and sisters in Christ who have suffered so much since Jan 12.
Pastor Solect shared a message using Lamentations 3:19-39. (If you haven't read that passage recently it is a great passage of scripture). This passage was written during a time when Jerusalem had been destroyed. The people had lost everything also and yet in the middle of their suffering they could still say,"Great is Your faithfulness."
It was a message of hope. Reminding all of us that God is still faithful and He doesn't change. God has not forgotten us even though things may be very difficult. Our circumstances may have changed, but God never changes.
God is always good.
God is always faithful.
God controls everything.
God knows everything.
Praise God for godly me like Pastor Solect who God used to remind all of us that God is still in control even though we are all suffering. God has preserved our lives for a reason and we need to keep serving God and thank Him.
Thanks for your continued prayers for the people of Haiti.

Thank you for sharing this, Deborah. Praise God for the hope that we all have in Jesus Christ and for ALL the things He is doing in Haiti. Praise God that He is using Godly men like Pastor Solect to proclaim God's Word to the our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
I love that scripture passage. I breathed a silent prayer during church this morning that God would use today's church services there in Haiti to encourage His people so that they could go back out and shine His light to those hurting around them.
Thank you for the daily updates that help us know how to pray for you here in Texas. My family had extensive damage from Hurricane Ike last year that seems minor compared to the current situation there, but it gave me a taste of what that it must be like - looking for a place to live, being thankful to God and the body of Christ for help, and comforting scared little boys.
Thank you for all you are doing in Christ's name.

We are praying for you here in Toronto. We just had a special offering in our church last Sunday. $50,000 in cash came in and the Canadian Government is matching it so we were able to send $100,000 with World Relief Canada to help out. Money is still coming in and many people who are from Haiti in our congregation are telling us of what is happening with their families. You don't know me but my husband and I are friends of Len and Adele (thank you for posting their sweet pictures!) and their daughter Sarah and family. I have been reading your blog the past few weeks and praying fervently that God would give you strength and wisdom and provide everything you need, as he has been doing. My 4-year-old prays, too. I feel privileged to have specific ways to pray for the suffering people in Haiti and those who are working so hard to help.
